N.H. -- Canaan Fair Speedway will host the Granite State Pro Stock
Series season finale on Sunday, September 16. The previously
scheduled championship event at Lee USA Speedway has been canceled.
“We made this decision based on the best interest of our
competitors,” Granite State Pro Stock Series President Mike Parks
said. “Lee USA Speedway wanted to make this an open competition
event, as they have had in years past for Oktoberfest. We have
canceled our sanction of the event to honor their wishes, but we
definitely look forward to working with Lee USA Speedway in the
The Granite State Pro Stock Series 100 lap event on the “Awesome
Asphalt” will be joined by a 50-lap North East Mini Stock Tour
event, a 35-lap $300-to-win Pure Stock/Limited/ Thunder Stock event,
and a $200-to-win SK Bean Enfield Garage Bandit/Wildcat/Lightning
Stock challenge event.
Current Granite State Pro Stock Series point leader Bobby Cabral
will have two races to hang on to his point lead and snag the
inaugural series championship. Cabral, of East Kingston, NH, has
claimed one feature win and has yet to finish outside the top-five.
Bobby Baillargeon, of Kingston, NH, rides the wave of momentum after
his win at Hudson Speedway into the final two events of the season.
Baillargeon currently sits just 22 points shy of Cabral. Rich Eaton,
of Seabrook, NH, currently sits third in the standings, 28 points
Canaan Fair Speedway is located just off Route 118 on Orange Road in
Canaan, NH. The largest track the Granite State Pro Stock Series
visit will also feature Canaan Fair Speedway regulars as they look
to defend their home track against the invading series drivers.
Admission for the Granite State Pro Stock Series season finale is
set for Adults $20, Seniors and Juniors $15, Kids ages 7 to 12 $5,
and children 6 and under free. Pit fee will be $35 and the gates
will open at 9:00am. Grandstand gates will open at 11:30am, with
practice beginning at noon. Heat race qualifying will begin at

September 8 at Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, NH, with the
running of the JBH 100.
