CANAAN, NH – A rainout last weekend prevented Adam Pierson of
Fairlee, VT from using the home field advantage in his first Sprint
Cars of New England race. The seven time and defending Bear Ridge
Speedway champion and current DIRTcar Sportsman Modified points
leader was scheduled to drive the SCoNE Guest Car at Bear Ridge, but
the entire program was washed out.
Instead, Pierson will make his maiden voyage on Friday August 10 at
the Canaan Dirt Speedway. Although he’s not a regular competitor at
Canaan, Pierson made a visit with his Modified on July 3 and came
away a winner, heading home with $1,000 and the Coastal 181 Cup.
Asphalt icon Brian Hoar, eight time champion and the winningest
driver in the history of the American Canadian Tour, will follow
Pierson as the next driver of the SCoNE Guest Car. He’ll be the
pilot on Saturday August 18 at Bear Ridge.
Randy Cabral, three time and defending NEMA Midget Champion will
make his Sprint Car debut in the SCoNE Guest Car on Friday August 31
at the Canaan Dirt Speedway and Vermont Lieutenant Governor Phil
Scott, winningest driver in the history of Thunder Road Speedbowl,
will close out the season with the SCoNE Guest Car on Saturday
September 22 at Bear Ridge.
