BRADFORD, VT – At this stage in his illustrious career, Brian Hoar
doesn’t have to prove anything to anybody. As the eight time
champion with the American Canadian Tour (ACT) and a track champion
at both Thunder Road Speedbowl in Barre, VT and Airborne Speedway in
Plattsburg, NY, Hoar can pretty much do want he wants to do.
What he wants to do this Saturday night is take his first shot at
racing a Sprint Car, so he’ll be wheeling the Sprint Cars of New
England Guest Car at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, VT.
“Racing a 360 cubic inch Winged Sprint Car on dirt is something I’ve
wanted to do for quite a while, so when the opportunity came along I
couldn’t pass it by. I’m really excited about this,” Hoar said.
The SCoNE Guest Car will be getting quite a workout for the rest of
the season, each time with a driver making his first start in a
Sprint Car.
Adam Pierson, multi-time track champion at Bear Ridge, will be in
the SCoNE Guest Car at Canaan Dirt Speedway on Friday August 24.
Three time and defending NEMA Midget Champion Randy Cabral leaves
the asphalt and heads to the dirt at Canaan on Friday August 31.
Vermont Lieutenant Governor Phil Scott, winningest driver in Thunder
Road history, takes his first Sprint Car green flag at Bear Ridge on
September 22, as part of the New England Dirt Track Championship
night.
